Which is Better: Hotel or AirBnB?

I recently went on a solo roadtrip to Charleston, SC.  It was my first experience staying at an AirBnB.  I wanted to see if I could figure out which is better: a hotel or Airbnb. 

Previously when I’ve traveled, I’ve booked hotel rooms, giving little to no thought about any other type of accommodation.

Just like with any other aspect of traveling, the type of accommodations you choose will largely depend on what type of experience you want to have.

Do you want to interact with others, or do you want to keep to yourself? Are you traveling on business or for pleasure?
